Presented for the first time at the Festival “PX: Piombino Experimenta” 2005 Modular is an audiovisual work realized in collaboration between Esa [Luigi Turra] for visuals+programming and Kinetix [Gianluca Becuzzi] for sounds+programming. The title comes from the projecting and formal plan through that the work is been organized. Basecally there are four screens corresponding to the same number of audiovisual tracks, as well divided in four screens indipendent from one and other. Each screen is associated at three audiovisual loops with the same last controled with a keyboard in sequence. The progressive start of the four screens and the following course of events produce a stream of sounds and immagines to be easly composed in real time. The modular construction of the screens and their alternation are the basic element of the developping and the representive structure of the work itself. Modular is Been conceived as a polivalent audiovisual device: live-laptop set, interactive installation, file playing with CD or WEB. Series of stills images from MODULAR:
